Gerard M. Karam focuses his practice in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death and federal and state criminal law, banking law.
Mr. Karam is a former Chief Public Defender for Lackawanna County (1994-2003) and former Assistant City Solicitor for the City of Scranton. He is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and a Certified Mediator for the Lackawanna Court of Common Pleas.
A Scranton native, he is a graduate of St. Joseph's University (B.S., 1984) and Loyola University Law School (J.D., 1987). He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania (1987), and before the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Mr. Karam is a member of the Lackawanna County Bar Association (Director, 2002--; Co-Chair, Criminal Rules Committee, 1999-2000), the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Association of Trial Lawyers, the Northeast Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association (Director, 2000-2004), the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
Named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer by Philadelphia Magazine and he is AV Rated.
