John Petorak focuses his practice in the area of state and federal criminal litigation, as well as residential and commercial real estate matters.
Mr. Petorak is a former Assistant Public Defender for Lackawanna County (1986-2003) and served as an Adjunct Professor for Pennsylvania State University (1986-1990).
He was born in Carbondale, Pennsylvania, and is a graduate of Mansfield University (B.S., 1972), Marywood College (M.B.A., 1975) and Thomas M. Cooley Law School (J.D., 1983). He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania (1983) and before the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania
Mr. Petorak is a member of the Lackawanna County Bar Association (Member, Criminal Rules Committee) the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
He is a death penalty certified attorney in the state of Pennsylvania.
